Meet Maggot. This is her room, take a look around. There are things in here that she cannot throw away. Things she does not remember keeping. Things that belonged to someone else. Things that belong only to her now. THIS ROOM I CALL MINE brings together the textile practices of Riley Drummond and Ella Morreale, exploring the relationship between textiles and grief as active processes shaped through repetition, repair, and time. Like grief, textiles carry traces of what has come before. Marks made on one side can emerge on the other: threads cross, disappear, and resurface, revealing the path of their making.
